Holistic Care Questions
There are a lot of questions that people have when visiting a new Holistic Therapist. Find some of the most common questions people have below. If something is still unclear, don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Do you help treat terminal or chronic illness?
Absolutely!! Reiki, Reflexology, and Meditation have shown amazing results in clinical trials for helping those suffering from chronic illnesses or in palliative care. All natural and holistic healing modalities should always be accompanied by standard modern medicine, but these services are an amazing addition and have great benefit.

How should I prepare for my first treatment?
It's always a good idea to get in the right mindset for healing. Take some deep breaths, and know that everything will work out as it is meant to. Showering or bathing prior to a treatment also helps ease the healing process, hygiene is of the utmost importance. There is no need to be a master in meditation in order to get the most from a treatment. Often times letting go of the pain we've had for so long can be the toughest challenge you face during a session. All you need to do is walk in with an open mind, and be ready to accept peace.

What should I expect from my first session?
There may be some odd sensations! Many people report tingling or electricity, others feel waves of heat and cold. Some simply feel a deep sense of peace and calm. Whatever your experience may be, know that it is individual to you and your healing journey. The path to health is not a straight one, and it often involves multiple sessions- not unlike taking routine medications or going to physical therapy. As long as you are committed to improving, you'll see the difference in all aspects of your life.

What is Reiki?
Reiki is a form of energetic healing that is passed from the practitioner to the client. It was first rediscovered in ancient Japan and has since been passed down through the ages as a natural way of healing. Reiki translates to "Universal Life Force Energy" meaning that Reiki is actually the energy that makes up all things, and a Reiki Practitioner channels this energy into a client. A Reiki Healing Session can be performed with the client either laying or sitting comfortably in a chair. The practitioner will move around the client gently laying their hands (or hovering above the body if that is more comfortable for the client) on energetic focal points. The energy passes through the practitioner into the client and stimulates the body to activate its natural self-healing abilities. In trials around the world Reiki has been shown to reduce blood pressure, lower cholesterol, ease mental illness, and so much more.
